Please reach us via our "Contact Us" page, if you cannot find an answer to your question. We look forward to hearing from you!
Go to our "Register for Classes" page and go to the bottom of that page and click on the class link you want to sign up for. Registering is a TWO part process - BOOKING and PAYING. Choose whether you want to pay the $75 deposit or the full class tuition of $395 (there are two separate buttons for each class you can choose from). After selecting the class you want by clicking on the REGISTER button, it will take you to another page with a calendar. Scroll to the month and date of the first class and select that first class date (date should have a circle around it). Then at the bottom of the page select the button noting the time of the class then a BOOK button will show up and select BOOK which will bring up a place for you to provide information (name, email, phone). THEN click on the CONTINUE TO PAYMENT which will take you to Paypal and complete payment. Your registration is completed when you complete payment. ANY questions with registering, please let us know via our Contact Us page.
You can secure a spot in the class by paying the $75.00 deposit which goes toward the balance of your class tuition. We ask the balance of the class be paid a week before the class starts which you can do at the very bottom of the Register for Classes page. The $75 deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable, but the balance of any additional tuition you pre-pay is refundable up to the week before the first class. Due to the small size of our classes, once class has started there are no refunds except in classes of illness. Check our "Refunds Policy/Procedures" for more information.
Yes! The Artist's Way class is open to all students, whether they see themselves as artists or not. Many of our students report reaping dividends in many parts of their lives, both professionally and personally from having gone through the material in the book and class. We use the word "artist" in the broadest sense. The word "artist" actually is defined as "someone who is a "creative person (a person whose creative work shows sensitivity and imagination)." We have had students from a variety of professions including accountants, carpenters, actors, web designers, graphic artists, social service workers and computer programmers who report that they see themselves as artists as their work requires a significant amount of creativity. All are welcome.
We have had a great time offering Artist's Way Classes via Zoom. Our students have really responded positively to this online resource for taking an Artist's Way class. There have been a lot of surprising but exciting benefits to offering this material online. Here's just some of what we've heard: The opportunity to connect with students from around the country and the world is a major bonus. We've had students also say it's been fun to see everyone's face on one screen - a surprise treat to many. Students have also reported the advantages of not having to battle traffic and be able to enjoy the class from the comfort of their own homes is a definite plus as well. We look forward to hearing from you what you appreciated about the opportunity to ZOOM an Artist's Way Class!
Excellent question! We encourage students to work through the material either on their own or to come join us in a class. We began offering The Artist's Way classes because we heard over and over from our students that similar to you they'd "had the book on their shelf for years and hadn't ever done anything with it." We began the classes with the desire to support students in their learning process and also to address our students' request for accountability to complete the full 12 weeks. However there have been many additional dividends that have come with working as a group which have been very exciting to witness. Our students consistently report that they appreciate the additional creativity exercises we include in the classes and that they have been inspired by and learned so much from each other which has added substantially to their learning.
Due to the length of the class (12 weeks), it is not unusual for students to have to miss 1 or 2 classes. We do encourage students to reconsider signing up for the class if they have to miss the first 2 classes as we find those first 2 classes to be important for all of our students to attend. If you have to miss a class, our instructors go out of their way to write detailed notes that they will send you within 2 days of the missed class so that you can catch up on any missed material. If you are having to miss a ZOOM meeting, we record the session so you can watch it later at your leisure!
Our classes are for adults 18 years of age and older.
